Reimagining digital representation
This was a proposal for Gina Pasta Bar to elevate its digital presence with a design that reflects the restaurant’s unique character and charm. While the current website absolutely fails to capture Gina’s identity, the venue itself offers a distinctive atmosphere that invites creative interpretation.

I created an interactive Gina hero demo with a focus on visual storytelling and minimal elegance. The homepage features a rotating image hero that sets a calm yet distinctive tone, while the menu page includes a custom mouse trail interaction, adding a layer of surprise and uniqueness.
Opportunity
I analysed 18 restaurant websites across Barangaroo and found that 95% are outdated, templated, or non-functional. Gina has a clear chance to stand out with a modern, interactive website — a quick win to sharpen its competitive edge and convert more online visitors into guests.
